Chris and Bev – Heads in the Clouds

Dave is back here putting in door frames and then hanging doors. Along with having no skirting boards, we’re not having architraves so that the look is pretty minimalist. We’ve got a bit of a ‘shadow gap’ within the doorframe so we’re hoping to conceal the inevitable cracking where the plaster and timber meet. Neat idea, could be a disaster…

The doors are all fire doors to give some solidity and are plain (no panelling etc) and in white.

We’ve reached the time to put in a new water supply and connect up the sewer to the existing. Page and Mark, with digger and dumper, will be with us for a few weeks we hope, but this week Mark’s on holiday so we needed a stand-in ….

As well as digging trenches for various ducts and pipes, we’ve done lots of clearing and levelling.
