The house is now fully rendered and all of the remaining black plastic that’s been keeping the house watertight – omnipresent for six months or so – has been replaced with zinc capping along the top of the parapet walls. It’s quite a relief!

Inside we have lights and an electric faux-fire …

And the floor tiling is close to being finished …

Summer is clearly here in the garden, as evidenced by the wildlife – deer on the hill, moles, a procession of six voles, and a rather large grass snake across Bev’s path. We enjoy spending our spare moments knocking the veg garden into shape, but sadly our seedlings have suffered from being planted in multi-purpose compost contaminated with herbicide. The symptoms are deformed plants and brown leaves on the beans. We’ll wait to see if they recover!

Really coming together now. Looks great!!
