After a good deal of stress and luck we’ve found a replacement renderer. In 48 hours they’ve finished the base coat and arranged the delivery of the topcoat material. Faith is restored …

As exciting, Luke and John have arrived to fit the kitchen. They’ve set up something of a workshop in the dayroom and flooded us with questions on the minutiae of how the units and appliances will work, look and be fitted. Fortunately Luke and John are full of good ideas and with eyes for detail, so in practice they end up answering most of their questions themselves … Their work highlights that the house has made the transition from nail gun to millimetre-precision woodwork.

Dougie is a cutie

In other internal news – Dean and Matt have turned the corner with tiles in the hall and the anti-cracking mat laid into the sitting room. ”We’re cracking on!” as Dean jokes most days. We laugh every time (in spite of the rendering troubles having cast a shadow on our mood). At least the sun is shining!
