This is going to be a week – or a good part of it – of putting Rockwool insulation in internal walls, while trying to keep ahead of Taff who is our very fast plaster board fixer. I can hear Sue tutting loudly on the subject of noise insulation ….

Just to keep up with Taff has meant some late nights to make sure enough walls are ready for him the next day. We’ll get the walls of the bedrooms and bathrooms largely done, but can’t do the external walls or ceilings just yet (as they need to be pumped with insulation) and some panels where the plumbers and electricians still need access.

James the plumber has spent two days getting the underfloor pipework into some kind of order and connected up to the manifolds and pumps. Along with the efforts of the ground source guys, this means we’ll meet the end of March deadline to qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive subsidy scheme – phew!

Tut!😆xx
