It seemed particularly appropriate that on both days that the solar panels were being installed we should have bright sunshine. The sun struggles to get over the trees on Windmill Hill during the winter and on the recent frosty and cold days, the southern part of the garden (including the caravan of course!) has remained frozen while the north side has been warm enough for the greenhouse vents to open. Most importantly, the sun rays hit the top roof (where the panels sit) nicely. It might seem a bit early to have solar panels installed but we’re getting it done while the scaffold is up.

One of the solar team asked Chris, thinking he was the site foreman or project manager (as he bossed people around), what the client was like. For once Chris didn’t really know what to say and missed the opportunity to say ”bit of an arse”. In an attempt to keep warm, Chris is looking increasingly like George Thompson from Postman Pat, while Bev resembles Edna The Inebriate Woman, if anyone remembers her?
We also took delivery of the floor tiles, courtesy of Ian, a local agricultural contractor with a forklift. Contrary to most advice, Chris wants to gets the tiles laid as soon as possible and before other trades …

Great progress ! Beginning to see what the inside will look like-your temp stairs are v posh. Not clear on why Chris is taking this position on the tiles……
Hope the client and site manager aren’t talking to each other, which of course would be a sign of madness.
