More of the same today – panels arriving, being unloaded, and then being slotted into place. Things seem to be going well, Brendan is happy – the only hiccup was one of the more loaded lorries hitting a low-hanging tree, bringing down branches and damaging a panel or two.

It’s really exciting to see the spaces we’ve envisaged, debated and agonised over 18 months or so coming together. We can picture views, walk through imaginary doorways, and start to appreciate room heights.

The site’s been busy today and it makes us realise we’re lucky to have the room for storage, parking, waste etc. Three cars, five vans, two HGVs and a rather large crane. How does anyone build on a small site on a road?!
