We have two massive piles of topsoil, created by Mark’s seemingly dare-devil, but totally measured and safe, dumper driving. The soil – which looks good – will now sit there for quite a while until we can see how much material we have, and the levels of landscaping and lawns that will evolve around the house.

Today we bid farewell to the unburnable tree trunks, as they were buried in the centre of the site, deep below where a lawn will ultimately lie. No more macho “I could burn that for you”. It didn’t happen – you know who you are!
The site is building the appearance of a building site. Very exciting …
We’re noticing the weather is getting chillier and the evenings darker. And we also realise we’ve had the winter duvet on throughout the “summer”.

I failed Bev but there you go ….😂, It would certainly have taken a while to do and burying is a good idea. Lots of progress by the looks of things
