Chris and Bev – Heads in the Clouds

The seasoned oak has arrived for the new gates. It’s unclear whether Chris or Dave, Burfitt and Garrett’s chippy who’s going to make the new gates between Christmas and New Year, is most excited. We’ll set Dave and his workshop up in the bungalow conservatory.

In other timber-related news, we were taken by this image of a tree within the felled ash.

Before a visit from Dave and Pippa this afternoon, we tidied up the area in the wellhouse, ahead of work starting on it again tomorrow. On closer inspection it’s in pretty poor condition and has visibly deteriorated since the first time we saw the garden in February – rotten wood, dislodged pillars, loose brickwork ….

But very much looking forward to this becoming our evening gin and tonic spot.
