A productive day today. Graham completed the electrical work so everything’s lit up and powered up. We don’t have to have the caravan window open for the extension lead to feed the fridge freezer any longer. Graham also helpfully explained that our ‘faulty’ electric oven wasn’t working as we’d expected because it’s a gas oven and needs to be lit …. doh!
We had the dream team of Pete and Henry helping with today’s task of installing a phone/broadband line along the same 140 metre route as the power cable. This entailed threading the line through sections of protective water pipe. This photo suggests we knew what we were doing …

Whereas in fact it didn’t all go that smoothly ….

Bev produced a hearty lentil soup and a fresh loaf from the Bevis kitchen in spite of the challenges of understanding how the oven works!

For God’s sake don’t give Pierre anything more complicated than a screwdriver!

It’s a good job you’re burying that cable, it looks like trouble to me.

Chris and Bev,
Glad to see it’s all action, albeit the variable quality of helpers is noted.
My previous attempt to leave a comment was ‘subject to moderation’ whatever that means and appears to have been deleted by the blog fascists. This despite being a perfectly civilised note. Wait till the swearing starts !!
Anyway, good to see the progress and I can testify to the fact that it gets more exciting, albeit I’m a bit more Phil Spencer than Dick Strawbridge……

I think in a fight, Dave, Dick would beat Phil. Also, in an eating competition…
