30th June 2022

We’ve enjoyed the openness of the house, and in particular the hall, as the white-walled space has emerged from the concrete slab and timber frame. We had therefore been slightly nervous of the impact of the two Crittall screens – one between the hall and the sitting room, the other between the hall and the dayroom – that we ordered off plan about a year ago. But they’re in (at a pinch and with a squeeze) and we like them very much.

As impressively calm and efficient as the screen installation was the installation of the kitchen ‘Dekton’ worktops. We haven’t been used to things running so smoothly!

And the shower tiling’s finished with some challenging geometry and cutting by Dean and Matt …

And Aaron, Tony and Dylan are still plugging (and lighting) away on the electrics …

If you look carefully you can see the rainwater hoppers and downpipes (in zinc)

We’re very excited – the scaffold is due to come down tomorrow!
