So that’s the end of the Honda. It was transported off to a local garage who declared it dead (but in more fruity, brutal language). Somehow, and without any warnings, the engine had neither oil nor water and unsurprisingly had terminally seized up. We’ll miss it very much and need to think about what we’ll do without it – it’s been invaluable, abused and reliable.
Almost as invaluable and reliable as the Honda, but without the abuse, Gordon, Gareth and Keith have worked through the house filling every external wall and ceiling with the Warmcel cellulose. The house feels more solid and substantial as a result and it’s noticeable each morning that it’s starting to hold the heat from the sunshine through the windows.
