This afternoon we watched housemartins congregating in readiness for their migration to warmer, southern climes – another reminder that summer’s over. Heavy rain has been noisily beating down on our tin can, day and night, and our time spent in the garden has been snatched during (surprisingly sunny) breaks in the weather. This makes us think of the cold winter to come. But we continue to be cheered by the super people we meet and village activities, including Moviola, an upcoming quiz night, and concerts and talks. We’ve also both found reasons for additional visits to the pub; Bev for the monthly book club and Chris to play chess every Thursday.
Work on getting the veg patch is ongoing, interrupted by time off to try to understand – and finalise – decisions on the house, placing orders and transferring heaps of cash, and, of course, the rain!

Lots of progress! Who’s Moviola?? X

She, Sue, is a travelling cinema for rural villages – speaking pictures and everything …. I’m surprised she hasn’t reached Moreleigh!
