Today is the day that the power supply was removed from the bungalow, an important thing to do before its demolition. Dave from SSE took the existing feed and dropped it to a cabinet in the corner of the site. Another contractor for the energy supplier then relocated the meter into the new cabinet and from there, our electricians, Clint and Graham, have connected up an outside supply and the caravan, Bevis, as well as putting in the cabling for the site offices and outside loo.
Chris also climbed onto the roof to salvage the aerial and we’ll see if this will work for the TV in the caravan. He looks nervous for good reason – this is how Rod Hull (and his emu) died, you know!
We also had a team of tree surgeons from Mark Hawes Arborists with the tricky task of removing an ash that is growing right over the well house. We needed this tree and other overhanging branches of a beech removing before we can get the well house repaired.
