We know our architect, Lauren at Inkspace in Wimborne, through our friends and neighbours, Jeremy and Caroline in Woolacombe. The layout and design of the house by Lauren and her colleague, Phil, is progressing well. It’ll run along much of the western end of the site, mostly single-storey and covering part of the footprint of the existing bungalow. Having considered what must be every option for the external finishes, we think we’ve settled on a natural off-white render to the ground floor and zinc on the roofs and higher elevations, with some wood screening around the glazing, of which there’s lots!
We’ve submitted a planning application to Wiltshire Council for the demolition of the bungalow and the construction of the ‘bothy’ and greenhouse. We hope that getting this consent early will allow us to get on with some of the developments ahead of the main house.
