Hull is the centre of the UK’s static caravan industry and it’s in chaos due to the lockdowns and interruptions to the supply chain.  Apparently there’s one factory that has fifty units finished and ready to go except they don’t have windows.  We ordered ours at the end of July so we hope we’re now close to the top of the waiting list – 8 days to go!

Two skips arrived from EJ Shanley; one for rubble – inerts only! – and one ‘free of charge’ for scrap metal.  Chris had said ‘no’ to off-site waste disposal but we needed to clear some room for a storage container.  The skip lorry driver had trouble getting out and asked if we can do something about the slippery, muddy entrance.  We’ve ordered six tonnes of limestone to be delivered on Monday that needs to be spread before the skips go on Tuesday which need to be out of the way before the caravan arrives on Wednesday etc etc…
